Three minutes is the headline on most pricing pages. It is true for a handful of countries and a fiction almost everywhere else.
In a few markets, for a few number types, a provider genuinely can allocate you a number instantly, because they hold inventory and the regulator does not require anything of you first.
That is the case the marketing page is describing. It is not the case most businesses are in.
Plenty of countries require proof of a local address, a registered entity, or a named responsible person before a business number is issued. Some require it before the number will carry traffic, which is worse, because you get a number that does not work and think the software is broken.
Porting a number you already own is slower again, and it depends on a competitor's cooperation.
We say it out loud on the numbers page rather than at the end of a sales call. The software is running the minute you sign up — the dialler, the recording, the transcripts, WhatsApp calling — and the number is the part we do with you, on a call, with somebody from here on the line.
It is a worse headline than three minutes. It is a much better first week.
